Burleigh Ware
 
Burleigh Ware pottery was manufactured by Burgess & Leigh and became infamous in the 1920s/1930s for their large bright novelty jugs, some depicting animals and others sporting characters.  The pottery has quite distinctive features, namely a line of black dashes around the top of the jugs, novelty character handles and the Burleigh Ware Beehive backstamp of Burgess & leigh.  It is these jugs today that are most sought after by collectors of Burleigh Ware.
