Clarice Cliff

Clarice Cliff is probably the most famous designer of ceramics in the Deco period.  Following a period at A J Wilkinson in 1916, she moved to Newport Pottery and developed the Bizarre range.  Early examples include geometric designed tableware, later introducing new shapes such as Bonjour.  Her designs were bold and bright and command very high prices today.  Some designs such as the Crocus range can still be bought for a reasonable price for the new collector of Clarice Cliff pottery.
