Crown Ducal/Charlotte Rhead Charlotte Rhead was one of the leading designers of the 1920s/1930s working for Crown Ducal (A J Richardson) during that time.  She also hand-painted pieces for both Burgess & Leigh and Woods and Son. She developed a process of tube-lining ceramics with infill glazes which became her particular style.  Crown Ducal continued with the style of Charlotte Rhead after she left the company in the early 1940s and she clearly influenced many of their designs.  Crown Ducal was famous for other items of Deco ceramics, their Orange Tree pattern being a good example.

Myott Myott Son & Co. were a Staffordshire factory producing colourful handpainted geometric designed jugs and vases in the 1920s and 30s.  These are particularly sought after by collectors and range from pinchtop style jugs to the rarer fan and bow-tie shaped vases.

Chintz Ware   Chintz Ware became a change of style after the bold geometric designs of the 1920s.  In the 1930s many floral designs started to come onto the market produced by the major potteries eg. Royal Winton by Grimwades and James Kent.
